Saint Ann Chapel

The oldest medieval historical building which remained intact in our town and it guards special Turkish memories. The single nave chapel had been built in the 1470s before the foreign invaders’ arrival. Its entrance is ornamented by a beautiful rose window.

The Turkish took care of it as well they converted it into a mosque. The red-light green wall painting fragment and the wall text fragment probably originated from the Koran. If we look up the roof of the chapel we can see the cross and the Turkish half moon together.
