The Rose house - can be found in Rózsa Street (in English Rose street) - is the part of the myths and a real green spot in our town. The Rose street had existed earlier than the Rose House.
It is known that Gül Baba took into Hungary the cult of the roses and maybe it is true, since he is called the Father of Roses as well. On the walls of the house we can admire the roses of „Fehérvár Gül Baba”.
Once his son asked him: Why there are not roses in the Rose street? On the sites of Rózsa Street 3-5 once Veli Bey’s mosque was standing, he was the Sanjak-bey of Fehérvár.
